My 2018 Fitness Commitment
Dear anyone looking at this blog post. (Hi Mom, Jacob, Melissa!)
This is a public commitment to my 2018 fitness goals! I wanted to post it here because it will hold me accountable to actually making it happen. I am determined to make 2018 the Best Year Ever! And hitting goals (especially ones’s that create endorphins) makes for a pretty great year.
I’ve also had a couple questions about my weekly fitness routine, so wanted to put it out here for those of you wondering. Like everything else I’ve recently been focusing on it is simple and significant. My workouts are a huge part of helping me manage my anxiety and since I first introduced them about a year ago I’ve seen a substantial shift in my moods and mindset. But it’s only when I am consistent! So here’s to holding me accountable to these 5 fit commitments!
My Weekly, Personal Fitness Requirements:
- Commit to 5 days of physical activity.
- It must be a minimum of 45 minutes of an elevated heart rate.
- At-least one day (preferably two) will be a push work out! For me that might be Barry’s Boot Camp or Soul Cycle.
- Less intense days will likely be the, elliptical + weights, 2-3 mile runs + weights or a long power walk.
- I will commit to stretching before and after each work out for at least a couple minutes.
There it is. My commitments to my personal fitness in the New Year! Pretty Easy. I’ll be posting many of these to my Instagram stories if you’d like to follow along and be my acountabilibuddy! Happy work out’s ya’ll!
